In a town in Texas, at the request of his pastor, a young associate pastor named Jim Rayburn began showing young people how much God cares about them by showing up in their world and sharing the message of God's love through Jesus in ways and words they could understand and relate to.
Established 1953
Young Life expanded outside of the U.S. with an outreach in France. Our methods and values cross all cultures and meet the needs of young people in over 100 countries around the world.
International divisions include the Asia Pacific, Europe, Former Soviet Union, Africa and Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Established 1970
Currently, over 18 countries in Asia and the Pacific have a Young Life presence. This has the potential to make a massive impact. Our Division bears the weight of five of the world's ten most populous countries. Home to over four billion people and over 3,000 different languages, this area of the world is incredibly diverse. What an amazing opportunity to share the love of Christ!
